- Turkish father, Norwegian mother. In early April 2004 she shocked Sweden by revealing that her father was a Turk living in Istanbul. Her mother had conceived Vendela in Istanbul.
- Wears size 7 shoe, size 6-8 dress.
- She was the host together with Ander Lundin in "Melodifestivalen 1999" (the Swedish national Eurovision song contest)
- Today she lives in Oslo, Norway, with her Norwegian husband and two children, Julia Annette (b. 1/2/1998) and Hannah (b. 5/25/2000)
- Worked as a TV reporter during the 1994 Olympic Winter Games at Lillehammer, Norway, for the Norwegian TV channel NRK.
